Just Listen

When your parents shout, just listen.

When they fight, don’t cry.

When your sibling does something “cool”

Don’t follow and be a fool.

When you leave someone for a while,

Tell them how you feel,

It may not seem a big ordeal,

But it may be the last time.

When someone is hurt and not very bright,

Hold them and tell them it's all right.

When it seems there will never again be light

And you have sank into an endless hole,

Don’t shut everyone out,

So, when your parents shout,

Just listen.
