Just Listening

I know we're just friends;

just some Little kids, just making amends.

i'm nOt asking for you to fall head-over-heels for me

i'm not asking you to hug me, scold me, or adVise me.

i just want you to keep talking:

i just want to hEar your stories,

Your theories,

yOur tales,

yoUr life.

i just want to keep listening.
