Just like Mac n Cheese

Just like mac n cheese

poetry is like the fire in me

I write to stay alive

I write to say my goodbyes

My anthemn of hate

My anthem of life

Just like mac n cheese

poetry is like the fire in me

The way the noodles and cheese flow so effortlessly

The words spill from my mouth like a river so free

I can be who I want

Whoever can be with me

Just like mac n cheese

I write to be free

I want to feel the hurt of the world

I want to dig way within

I want to taste the sorrow or joy

I want to detroy my nay sayers

Just like mac n cheese

the reminder of all of our youth

I want to remind someone of a spark or memory

I write to stay grounded

I write to stay sane

I write just to clear my own loud and overbearing thoughts

Just like mac n cheese

poetry is the fire within me
