Just Me
Sometimes I'm happy,
Sometimes I'm sad.
Sometimes I'm goofy,
And sometimes I'm mad.
I'm a teenage girl--
I have mood swings,
Eat almost all sweets,
Love really shiny things.
My family's my rock.
My friends keep me sane.
Yes, I do have a boyfriend.
With these relationships, I cannot complain.
I'm extremely stubborn,
And work hard for my success,
Which I give props to my parents
For teaching me how to possess.
As I grow with each passing year,
I long for myself to mold
Into an independent young lady
Whose success she herself has controlled.
