Just Me

I've done my best to be what people want

In a picture, on video, even face to face

Trying to switch my personality to get a different pace,

Of what my life could be like if I was seen as someone else

A filter is what you put in a fish tank to give life

Why put one on yourself,

Such a Disgrace.

With a Filter I am plain and simple,

A face in the crowd and not an Individual.

Me with no filter can be seen clearly

Once my emotions get the best of me.

I'm weird, different, a one of a kind if you will

An over thinker, philosopher, a true individual.

I'm no genius, I wear glasses, I pass my classes

I get by with what I know, for the future I don't know where I can go.

A Senior in high school with life about to hit me,

I'm confused, afraid, rattled, I can't think clearly.

Without a filter, what am I ? You ask

Well without a filter, plain and simple,

I'm just an Ass...
