This Is Just Me
I'm just a teenage girl.
Living her life like anyone else.
I move from place to place.
Every year is what it feels like.
Making new friends is the hard life.
I always wonder things.
Wondering if there's any space for me.
I have been bullied.
Knocked down.
But I get back up with a smile.
It's just life of high school.
It'll only get worse if you're not the bull.
Charging through halls like you're worth something.
Because that is what you and I are.
Overall I'd say I'm like everyone else.
Just trying to figure life out.
No strings attached.
I always run my races to prove one thing.
I'm not just a girl in the corner.
I'm a girl with a voice.
With a melody that's sweetly played in tune.
I've been hurt.
I'm not going to lie.
Through heartbreaks I learn.
If they don't like me for me, I'm not worth their time.
Once the day is all over.
I tell myself this is just me.
