Just Like Me
I can't pray to an invisible man
Ask for everything to be perfect
But sometimes I wish I could have that peace of mind
It could be all worth it
It would help in those times when you wake up
And hear screams of, "You don't love me, you don't love me"
It kind of makes you wonder if anyone was meant to be
And when you tell your mom you're going to move out
She says she'll cry and be lonely without a doubt
Do I make something of myself or be there for her?
I just wish life made this easy
Or I could start over
And father
I swear I won't turn out to be the person you've become
I may have your face
But other than that I'm human
I'll be someone
See, I have respect for others and will be there for my children
Love my wife
And never forget how lucky I am to have her
I see that's never what you'll be
Just like me
You wish you were just like me
