Just Me
Just Me
Like separating lives from the truth,
Like the difference of dreaming and what we do,
Like fiction and reality, driven to insanity,
Don’t know what to say, can’t find your way.
So I wrote words that’ve never been heard,
As if I’ve never felt sorrow or never been hurt,
Like I’m the first one ever, to break a heart
This is how I write, this is how I start.
When you start to cry tears for no reason,
When you’re miserable just because of him,
When you find through days in every way,
The feelings still manage to break through.
If you want me right then say goodbye,
Because I won’t let who I am for you die,
I will not change just for your dreams,
Because this is just me being me.
Like happy homes and happy lives,
When you’re trying to apologize,
Like wanting you so badly, you’re driven to insanity,
Praying that somehow you’ll find your way.
Because I know who you want me to be,
But I don’t care who you want me to be,
My pen to you, my lives, my truth,
My feeling my words, every single hurt.
If you want to change me, you’ll never see,
The beauty of a life that breathes,
The beauty of the one that’s free,
The beauty of just me being me.
