#Just Me Is Enough

I see this generation for what it is

A society rooted in "selfies"

What are we trying to prove?

That we need social media and filters to be beautiful?

We just need ourselves

We are enough

Beauty shouldn't be a superficial competition

It should be what you evoke

I want to take a picture of myself helping a friend

I want to take a "selfie" with a homeless person I met

And the hashtag will say

Nothing at all

Because I am enough
