Just One Line

Of course many have preached: censorship is death.

I am a radical artist, but I see circumstances when a deviation from the original, perhaps to lighten the blow, may be good.

This is neither the time nor the place.

You neutered the most poignant line of an otherwise menial song- true it was in the hands of good people, but I cannot believe you.

You took away the impact.

The composer flinches in his resting place, I’m sure, since he fought so valiantly to keep it when publishers tried to steal it away.

Your demographic is wise, you’re really underestimating them.

They aren’t stupid.
