Just Peachy

Pacing back and forth the hardwood's floor,

watching as shadows follow.

Feeling my heart to hear it's still hollow

fuels my sorrow.

It sadens me, this canopy has yet to reach the sea.

Your words meant as stray statements still

strike me.

My tears sting and so I hide.

My voice? Or whimpering cry pushed aside.

The flood of light shinning through my

windowed-pain berids my bane.

There are always other days. Seeing

all the souls lost sees mine found.

Uniting under one voice gives mine sound.
