Just A Picture

I was a survivor, Had a big family, two brothers I'd still adore. I haven't escaped, but lived through. What was happening just couldn't be true. I was fourteen at the time, They took and murdered what was mine. God, why did I have to see this happen? They thought they'd left my family to be forgotten. Just a picture, was all I had, They killed my brothers, my mom and dad. I've watched them die before my eyes, Hitler filled everyone’s ears with lies. I just wanted to die right then and there, I lived on, I guess I survived it fair. But I heard my father’s voice "live son, one day we'll be together," Just a picture, I'll cherish forever. Oh, they dipped me inside acid and burned me, They tortured me because I was a Jew. They said I was filthy and unclean, I've went through the hardest I've ever seen. Just a picture, while my world fell apart, Was my two poor brothers, they're alive in my heart. My father’s voice, helped me through the torture, And I'll always live on with just that picture.
