Just Plain Tired

I am tired of being hungry, tired of being cold Tired of hearing all kinds of excuses, they have gotten old. I am tired of the empty refrigerator and the cupboard bare. I know it is a real struggle and yet life seems so unfair. My mommy works real hard, rising early and staying up late Still her paycheck is not enough to carry the financial weight. We need clothes, food, and a roof over our head Yet the bills are piling up and we are struggling instead. I am just plain tired of the poor quality of life Sometimes I feel like fighting back with violence and strife My mommy begged me to keep my cool The best way to fight this is to stay in school So I took her advice to stay in school and take in all the knowledge Now that I graduate high school and want to go on to college I need your help to pay my way and help me to reverse this trend And improve my quality of life and bring my tiredness to an end.
