Just Sleeping

Once upon a time,

There was a princess

Who tried to always look her best,

But the princess failed to get her rest.

She tried and tried

To go to bed,

But the pillow on which

She laid her head

Was just not good enough.

The king adored her.

He implored his people to woo her

With the perfect pillow

For his daughter’s perfect head.

Throughout the land,

The average man

Went crazy trying to make

This pillow.

After dozens of failed attempts,

Finally the princess

Laid to rest,

On the best pillow

in the land.

Much to her dismay,

She slept less than a day,

When she was awoken by a kiss.

“What are you doing?” she cried.

“I’m saving your life” He tried.

“I WAS FINE!!!!”
