just a teenage phase

It hurts.

It hurts so bad.

I want to tear my heart out and rip it to pieces.

I want to stop caring about them, please

If I knew they didn’t love me so,

If I knew they didn’t

Oh, how easy this would be

To lock them out

To bury the key

But because I love

Because of this foolish desire to want

I hold on to hope

With every fibre of my being

Relentlessly, I hold on.

Every time I scream

HE WILL NOT CHANGE

A tiny voice whispers,

He will.

He will one day understand your pain,

Your feelings, all of them,

He will understand your hurt

So hold on, It whispers.

Is it my fault? I ask,

Like all of them are stating,

Is it me?

Swiftly It replies, not missing a beat.

No.

He is scared.

Because the monster he is accusing you to be

Is, in fact,

He.

This does not calm me.

I want to leave

I want to leave

I want to leave

Please,

LET ME GO

Supressed, Ignored, Misunderstood, Desperate, Failure, Dependent, Fake, Misplaced,

Alone

WHY CAN’T I JUST BE WHO THEY WANT ME TO BE

It hurts,

It hurts so bad

To not be enough, To act okay

To be the one they wish wasn’t the same

To love and to not understand

The one you know whom loves you back.
