Just when I was on
Just when I was on the verge of a breakdown,
My salvation had been found.
Trying to get my life together I felt lost,
Arguing with my parents but at what cost?
They didn’t understand that they were using harsh tones,
The disappointment in their faces was hurtful enough on its own.
They pushed and pushed but didn’t understand,
That my journey was something I had to do without the fam.
Their support was disguised
And hearing them approve of my decisions was a prize.
I found a college where I can succeed
LCCC is the right place for me.
