Just Like You

(poems go here) We're only children, can't they see? You're just like me, I'm just like you. There's no difference between you and me. The adults don't know what to do. The words they say are hurtful. We're supposed to be best friends. That phrase now makes me doubtful. My momma told me this all ends. I say I don't understand why. She's black and I'm white. Appear the tears, I began to cry It's not fair and it's not right. We're only children, but they don't see. Seperating us is all they can think to do. We feel sad while they feel free. You're just like me, I'm just like you.
