Just Like You

You are the one who makes my head ache

I am tired of thinking of you.

Your words. Your decisions. Your actions.

Sometimes you need to think before you act,

but I’m sure its too much to ask.

I’m pretty sure you didn’t know of my reactions

because you only think about yourself, not anyone else.

Six. The grade we became the closest

Because of you, I ditched my other best friend.

Because of you, we played on the same dirt.

Because of you, I shared things with you I regret now.

You got me believing all the things you said

You painted your life on my canvas

You expressed the feelings with shade of yellow, baby blue, and pink.

All the colors of happiness covered the real feelings of your base.

I wasn’t able to see the true colors.

I saw you as the best friend anyone could have.

Seven. The time everything changed.

You had me under a spell.

No spell any witch could undo.

You caused isolation from my true friends, but I was fine with it.

You led me to believe that I didn’t need any more friends

because you, you could solve all my problems.

Your 2nd coat began to come off.

Your true dark colors revealed who you really are.

A nobody. But I thought you were a somebody. I thought wrong.

Words slipped outta your mouth. I couldn’t believe.

I thought we were friends. More than that I thought we were best friends.

How could you talk behind my back, about something not true.

Starting rumors was a great plan.

A great plan to get rid of me.

Eight. You wanted me back.

You wanted me to forget what you said.

You wanted me to take you into my arms as if nothing ever happened.

I gave you one chance. But then you blew it.

Saying things again, I knew I couldn’t give you another chance.

I fully understood who you are - a mooch. Someone who was just in it for the fame.

Not my friendship. Just to be cool.

You thought you were cool, but you are merely nothing but a fool.

You used me, just for your own advantage.

You got me believing all the wrong things

You just walked all over me.

But now, things have changed.

We don’t talk to each other.

We often judge each other’s appearance.

Too bad I don’t wish for that time back.

Because if I did, I would be just like you.
