Justice or Apathy?
Justice is treatment
Justice is good and bad but there’s a grey area, apathy.
Some don’t care and Some just don’t know
The pain aching in a black mother’s soul.
Her son was shot just four years ago
He was a thug, a threat, and was walking all alone.
It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment.
Raise your hands
Raise your hands!
You black intelligent college man
You dope slinging, baby mama having—
Which is he because i’m confused
He can look one way and still be assumed, to be someone he’s not.
It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment.
It’s fine it’s okay he was a deplorable negro anyway.
This nation can’t and won’t face racism and that’s a fact
Because it’s easier to ignore the problem
Than to admit your white privilege, it’s easier to overlook the urgency of our moments, of our discrimination.
I hope your happy, you got what you want
But trust and believe happiness isn’t permanent.
You will no longer be able to overlook or ignore.
