Justice's Hands

Justice, is it nothing but an illusion for what we think should be rightful?

What does justice have to show in today’s society?

Is it nothing but a fire lit by what is perceived to be good and evil?

Doesn’t it just cause the pointing of fingers?

Doesn’t the pursuit of justice just pitt brother against brother?

What causes the entity of justice to be something that’s the greatest focal point of someone's life?

Whose hands does deciding what is just or does not fall upon, society or the government?

What is the best way to pursue justice?

Does justice really guard the weak?

As justice wraps around  my shaking body I realize,

justice is not kind.

When justice’s hard hands wrap around me I realize there is to escape it.

There are no “I’m sorry”s.

Justice is there cold and stoic.

Justice stands there stonecold.

Unwavering.

Justice is a force with no agenda.

The hands of justice wrapping its hands around its next victim

and squeezing until the victim feels its wraith from the depths of their soul.
