Getting through the night?

Getting through THAT night?

Was it anger, sadness or just no light?

Death wasn't your fight.

Now what's left is just pure plight.

Was it sadness, tired or just the need for the light?

New perspectives, new sounds, maybe even new grounds.

I should know I've been tired, tried carrying all those pounds.

But this time I don't understand. She held your hand.

She loved you so.

Watched you fucking grow.

She has to KNOW, it's not "REAP WHAT YOU SOW"

Her job was NOT complete, never missed her beat.

Now losing night after night of sleep.

I didn't know you as well as I should, but I hope you understood,

I saw the distance in your eyes, the reach in your face.

You smiled through it all not to disgrace.

What happened that night, before that place?

What could possibly make you want to blow off that beautiful face.

Now for me the fair is just another haunted place.

I miss your lovely face.

Dedicated to  Paul, Kim, and Shannan

I am so sorry for your loss

He was a beautiful soul and such a loss

A symbol of youth and pride

I thank God I had him as a guide or I would have died so many times.

Trust I had trust, and I don't even know why.

With all my love,

Cyndi
