Juxtaposition of a Life Divided
The sunset draws light to the billowed peaks
Overlooking the field of countless rocks
A young boy runs freely without technique
Life liberated from the ticking clocks
A lone goose flies misguidedly above
The boy pauses, calmly averts his gaze
To rows of houses and gardens among
Nature, the horizon through cirrus haze
Now avert the perspective to a man
Lost, diverted just to make a dollar
He’s working as subjective as he can
But the pain within will make him holler
He just cannot take all the distractions
The expectations and all the judgements
The stress forcefully misguides his actions
He wants to be back with the elements
Removal from this fierce corporate world
He imagines, with images he is met
With all the vistas his mind’s eye unfurled
The vibrant landscapes he cannot forget
His mind’s eye lets him return as the goose
Separated from his v formation
Old and weary, his journey is enough
Reformation is his new temptation
