Kadupul, the Rarest Flower in the Garden

Kadupul had not much beauty,

but what she lacked in looks was made up for in snoozing.

Not any saw her awaken once, her eyes were fluttered shut.

However when the town would close their eyes,

the town would know all but what

she possessed deep inside.

A flower.

Not just any kind, but a kind no one had laid eyes on before.

The first of its kind in this small town this girl bore.

For whenever she slept this kadupul would grow

but the sun rose and it would no longer show.

A flower.

Now, what do we call this flower of which we have the delight?

The only name that suits the kadupul, is Lady of the Night.

So thank you Kadupul the seemingly harmful cactus,

you made us think and put our brains to practice.
