Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

Stars dancing in the sky, the wind at my back, the ground warm under my bare feet. I can feel the music pulsing through my body as it sways to the sound. Hundreds of people all dancing off beat but in tune with each other at the same time. This is what happiness is, its not money, a big fancy house on a hill, the materialistic things that have come to control your life, nor is happiness the ignorant bliss that so many people live in. Our beautiful planet that millions take for granted every day is nothing more than a speck hanging in the balance of things. Humanity lives under the false impression that the earth is ours to ravish and destroy at our convenience. All the pollution and smog in the sky was not meant to be. The earth was a gift, we should be as good to her as she has been to us. In the end you can't take your money or your big fancy house on a hill, all of your materialistic things, or even your ignorant bliss. In the end we are all apart of the same kaleidoscope of inner space and time. People have always told me that wisdom only comes with age, tell me how it is then that I am more intune with what's happening in the world than most of the adults I come in contact with everyday. Life isn't supposed to be a rat race, constantly tearing other people down so you can be on top. It's so much more than this, we're meant to find inner peace, something that can make us happy without even trying. Looking for our place in the small light fragments of this huge kaleidoscope.
