Kashmir Is Bleeding

A thought bothers me whenever I go for sleeping I can’t forget that Kashmir is still bleeding Whenever I see the children playing on the road It reminds me of those who are always under morn Whenever I look at students getting knowledge on these lands I wish the Kashmiri children could stop holding stones in their hands Whenever I find youngsters here enjoying their many rights It takes me back to those teens who are engaged in fights Whenever I see parents worrying about their child’s future or marks I feel pity for those parents of Kashmir who can’t heal their child’s scars Whenever I cross groups of elders telling different life stories I feel the pain of those elders of Kashmir who are surrounded by worries Whenever in this part we celebrate festivals or something I remember the situation of those on other side who have nothing Whenever I think that how many exams I have to give It kills me inside that Kashmiris haven’t got right to live Whenever about partition people show their doubts It makes me tell them about all Kashmiris’ shouts Whenever I listen to politicians , their promises and claims I wonder if honesty and humanity in their mind still remains..? Whenever I found two sides talking about war I observe that our road for peace is yet too far Whenever I read about them a question comes in my heart What have we done for them who are suffering since start Their condition makes us realize how blessed we are They also want freedom no any war But the sad fact is disturbing and worst Both sides are busy in killing their power’s thirst The world is also playing its game Others are getting funds in their name Yet some questions always remains Were all the sacrifices of their people in vain?
