"Keep the Beggar Quiet"

What keeps the beggar silent?

The clinking of coins so desperately needed,

Or the warm fires in winter?

Food enough to satisfy a giant

Just make sure it’s lots and lots.

The blazing gun should do the trick.

Why is the beggar silent?

Lying in the street so cold and silent,

The guardian of injustice, that constant reminder,

Is no more.
