Keep Fighting My Darling, Keep Fighting

Keep Fighting, My Darling, Keep Fighting

*****

----------

Wanna know how insanity feels?

Muffled heartbeat

Confusion on repeat….

Soul in a cage

Life playing out on a stage.

IS ANONE LISTENING?

The sky is gray

Heart has wings, can't fly away!

Confusion in my veins…

Chloroform on the brain

Walking like I'm alive, but dead inside….

My body and spirit collide.

It doesn't paint a pretty picture

It shows how I feel

Tell them how it is

They tell you how to be.

The louder I shout, the less they hear.

People keep talking-their words are empty.

Voices keep shouting- no one is listening!

Don't tell me how to feel!

The pain is torture, the pain is REAL.

Do I stay or do I run!?

Do I follow the sensation or the Son?

I will not move...I will shine brighter!

I am a fighter.

Who am I?

I want to stay strong, to hold

When I look in the mirror, my eyes behold…

Nothing I want to be.

You think you know and you think you see

Who you are.

Who are you?

I want to be strong, to be gentle and kind

Perhaps this person is only a creation of my mind.

A creation reflecting perfection.

Nothing like my reflection.

Nothing.

A reflection of woes

A reflection full of lies

Is she real?

Don't think, just smile and conceal….

The pain in my heart.

The pain ripping, ripping me apart.

My heart is broken and bleeding.

Ashes and dust

Ashes and dust

A creation reflecting perfection?

I am an imperfect person living by conviction.

That perfect person is not me.

I am a shattered glass, spiritual and emotional debris.

Thank goodness He loves me anyway.

What!?

Ashes and dust don't know my name!

I am a phoenix, rising with courage and FLAME.

Tell me your life

I'll tell you mine.

Sometimes it is good, sometimes it's fine.

I suffer, I win

I am pure-but sometimes I sin.

Tell me your life….

I hold my breath and close my eyes

Restless spirit shut out the lies.

The panic is suffocating

The anger reverberating

Off of the walls of my heart…. It falls away.

Silence,

Speaks louder than words

The quiet I feared

Darkness and silence, both so unclear.

In all darkness there shines a light

The reason to keep breathing, a reason to fight.

Who is that light to my soul?

I will lift my eyes to the hills,

From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:1-3
