Keep Going

No, I'm not a Babie girl

I'm not the fastest swimmer

I'm not the smartest student

I'm not the best daughter

But what I am is something special

Something that makes me different

No else has what I have

I am entirely unique

Whether it's a test,

a swim meet,

a family complication,

I always strive to keep going

I never give up

I know I'm not the best

I am who I am

As Beyonce would say, "I woke up like this"

At the end of the day,

I like to tell myself I gave it my best shot

Today is history

Tomorrow is a new day

What matters is that I tried

And I'll never give up

Put your head to it

And remind yourself that you're something great
