Keep Me

Color me in

Bend me backwards

In half

Take what's left

And make it into

What you want me to be

You talk

And I hear the same lines

You break my heart

Without even knowing it

You used to make me dance

With one look

And now I'm sinking

Trying to be

Everything you need

Putting the brakes on

Trying a new skin on

I'm wrong

You're right

This can't be how it is

Can't be alright

You and me

Used to be on the same page

And now

I'm chasing old dreams

Down the old tunnels

Fighting for old memories

My baby doll

We had it all

You've got my heart

Right in your hand

You don't get it

Can't understand

How easy it is

To break it

But the break

You know

Is  not the same

As before

Back when I was putting it

All on the line

Turn my cheek

Say I was fine

But I'm not fine

I'm not okay

You can have me

But if you love me

For what I am

You can have all of me

If you can handle

Every part and piece

You can keep me

On the condition

You make it through

The tension

If you can find me

Buried under all these flaws

If you can love me

Through it all

Then you can keep me
