Keep The Music Playing

Location

Sometimes in school I hear the remnants

Of an orchestra concerto

But then I shake my head and think to myself,

‘This can’t be so!’

An orchestra program is nonexistant, gone

It’s like the school thinks that having one is wrong

We are willing to pay for football, basketball, baseball!

But is paying for some string instruments an order that tall?

There are so many students, hoping, praying

That our school can keep the music playing

But what if a string player can’t pursue their dream?

What if that string player

Is me?
