Keep Walking

Darkness grips my mind, Making me blind, I think I may be losing my mind. Stopping time, Looking back to see, Everything I really wanted to be, Believing in every little thing. Now I see all the hypocrisy. And the things that were, And the things that will be, Are all a part of some destiny, And a God so loving and kind, Is always looking out for me. Sometimes it’s hard to believe, In making the blind to see, And opening up for me. And I’m realizing that there’s more to life, Than all this pain and strife, I’m choosing to believe in an after-life. I’m trying to be, Something out of an old story. And I’m seeing that people are hurting much more than their showing, And trying to hide, All the pain inside, Is like walking with your cross, To an early demise, While being tortured by those that can’t see. Nobody knows what it’s like to be me. But I’ll keep walking, Showing my scars with pride, And even with all the pain inside, I know it’s better on The Other Side.
