Keep Your Tail
Mermaid princess
Fin swishing
The girl finesses
"Fine, yes," she says
A moment of weakness
Doubt, creeping through
But then she remembers:
She'll be a powerful leader!
Why is her mind tripping over a boy?
A human, no less
Who needs legs when I have iridescence and exuberance.
Good bye Human.
