The Key
I’m looking for a key
And I think I see it.
I know its there.
My fingers can almost reach.
Once I grasp it,
I will be able to open a lock
On one of the many doors to go through
And it will take me somewhere..
I don’t know where
But I trust it will be somewhere great
However, as of now,
I remain in seclusion
Where I will attempt to fulfill
My purpose here
Before my path is clear
I see something
Shimmering in the darkness
I know it’s my key
But I can’t see the teeth
That will be able to fit
Into the right door for me
I need to grow a little more
Before my fingers can reach
The key to my destiny.
