That kid


When I was young, all was fun.

then Middle school came along, 

all I wanted was to fit in, and not to be "that kid"

as High school was near, I thought I could hear,

the bullied kid, who was full of fear.

then I thought to myself....

why lurk in the shadows, when you could stand out above the hallows.

so I befriended the kid, and together we defended,

the fate of kids who couldn't stand on their own,

and as a whole we discovered the meaning of hope.
