That kid

Always, do I feel like that same kid I was; the one who fights back and doesn't like being told no. I'm still that kid.

That kid who sings loudly and doesn't truly know what the words mean but only how they feel.

That kid who preaches and screams when she feels other people's bull.

That kid who was left alone to raise herself because mom was never home.

That kid who would lip sync her favorite song to the kids outside of her window.

That kid who would still lip sync her favorite song to the kids outside of her window.

Thar kid who didn't care about being unique and smart.

That kid who said, never will I drink, smoke, or have sex.

That kid who had sex, drank, and smoked.

That kid who sang in front of those people.

That kid who graduated highschool.

That kid who writes this poem.

That kid that wins.

That kid that loses.

That kid that learns.

That kid that grows.

That kid that changes.

That kid IS ME.

That kid.
