The Kid Who Falls.

There’s a raging war outside our door
filled with hatred, dislike and spite,
ignorant people burning to the core,
And those who still see in black and white.

You walk around so mad all the time
Yet you quiver in fear and cover your eyes
Yearning for some hope but silent like a mime
Until one day a fire within you will rise

It’s like you’re the swing
And I’m the kid that falls
The song that you now sing
Is one that unites us all.

Your fingerprints lay stained upon these streets.
Forever the message of love for another, we will keep.
