I’ll Never Be a Butterfly
She spins in her cocoon,
So that she may soon reveal her true identity.
But little did the little caterpillar know,
That she would never transform.
“Butterfly, butterfly where are you?”
Her mother called.
And soon she discovered the shriveled grey remains of a cocoon.
But yet still there was no butterfly.
“Butterfly, butterfly where are you?”
Her mother wept.
“Butterfly, butterfly where are you?”
Her mother whispered.
As she flew down to the cocoon and wept into the dust,
She soon realized there would be no butterfly.
Sweet little caterpillar was gone.
“Butterfly, I’m sorry, for I have failed you”.
“My sweet caterpillar, I can’t go on”.
And she flew into a spider web.
Soon both caterpillar and butterfly were gone.
