Kill The..Wait Why Are We Here Again?
Kill the Beast! Kill the Beast!
As the peasants began battling the living objects,
Gaston forced his way past the chaos bounding up
the grand staircase, quickly looked towards
the west wing and glanced to the east wing
Kill the Beast! Kill the Beast!
Noticing a significant difference in the light
between the wings
Gaston leaps up the next flight
of stairs towards the east wing
Kill the Beast! Kill the Beast!
He could feel himself getting closer,
The lights became more dim,
more pieces of furniture destroyed,
following a dull, red, glow eventually
seeing the wilting rose and a hunched over
Beast covered in a ratty, old shawl
Kill the beast. Kill the beast.
Filled with anticipation, Gaston hoped
the Beast wouldn’t fight back since Belle
was no where near the castle, there was no
reason for Gaston to be distracted and no
reason for the Beast to defend himself
Preparing himself to slay the Beast, Gaston spots
a woman out of the corner of his eye, the intention
in her eyes as menacing as his thoughts
There was a shift in his mind and oddly, his heart
Kill the..wait who’s she?
Gaston stepped forward his monstrous boot
shoving into the floorboard causing it to creak,
the woman tilted her chin toward the creak, in terror
and then in awe when she realized who was there
they almost forgot about the colossal Beast
hunched over in front of them
The Beast glanced over his left shoulder
with hesitancy, realizing people were there
he sighed “get out” and turned his
head back towards his balcony, spotting Belle
and her father rapidly heading to the front doors
Gaston and the hazel eyed woman glided
toward each other effortlessly,
completely ignoring the Beast’s command to “leave”.
Gaston wrapped her up in his arms,
looked deep into her eyes and whispered
“that gun in your hand, I have the same one above
my fireplace. Want to go see it?”
Her hair fell out of the ribbon
holding it up in a bun, as her blonde,
curly hair fell past her shoulders,
she leaned closer into him,
mimicking his tone, she responded, “I’d love to”
Gaston carried her out the east wing,
down the grande staircase,
stealthy moving past all the furniture
who were celebrating their win of chasing
out the townspeople
Once out the gate and off the property,
he put her down and they strolled
hand in hand back towards the little town.
Staring deep into each other’s eyes to admire
their own reflection, taking a moment to glance
back at the castle and then back to their reflections.
The new couple walked off into the sunrise
telling each other how gorgeous the other was,
all thanks to the glance of a gun loving, beast hunting,
curly haired woman, the Beast, Belle, all the talking objects,
and even Gaston lived happily ever after.
