A Killer Set Free

I let go of the bad

And embrace the new

Gathering power

From deep inside me

and courage from you.

We together,

Can fight for a cure

So no one else has to suffer

From something of which

Even the doctors are not sure.

The battle is fought

Only by the bravest of souls

But even the strongest

Are caught

When they are not yet old.

They're lives cut short

by a killer so known

And yet set free

For we can not imprison it on our own.

To fight to stay alive

We must stand as one

United together, in sponsor of birthdays

Because the battle for the life of all can be won

Forever over and done.
