To The Killer of Words

Words are strong

Words are true

Words do not break

Don’t fold on cue.

But you took words and you made them bleed

You beat them numb when there was no need

You bent them forward

And twisted them back

No wonder they felt they were under attack.

Through it all

I thought words were the culprit

I turned me back on them and fell into your hell-pit

Yet you were the one who deserved my spit.

After all

You’re just a piece of shit.
