That Kind Of Girl
I'm the kind of girl that would rather stay at home and watch movies
than go out late and party.
I'd rather take a walk in the park, holding hands
than be at a concert with 10,000 screaming fans.
I'm the kind of girl that likes kisses on the cheek and cute inside jokes
The kind of girl that could meet your folks.
I'm the kind of girl who is respectful even when we argue.
I won't use profanity to separate us when I know we're already stuck like glue.
It bothers me to see these ladies acting nasty like trash-
Why can't we go back to when we valued class?
The guys are not any less guilty-
Only encouraging girls to be more filthy.
Yet you won't settle with a girl that gives you what you ask for.
Instead you say you need a woman with inner beauty, something "more".
Men that constantly tease our thoughts
No wonder why were always so distraught.
There's too much pressure to be the prettiest, the skinniest..
Don't you see those looks make you just like the rest?
I guess you could say I'm a girl who values originality.
I like the way our differences compliment our personalities.
I'm also a girl who likes to feel safe inside.
I need your arms around me when I want to hide.
I think I crave the comfort and security of innocence.
It makes me yearn to travel back to my childhood, in a sense.
I feel alone in the thoughts i think to be pure.
Not many people, if any, have ever shared them, so I''m not sure.
I just want to distance myself from the chaos of the world...
I hope you understand.. I'm just that kind of girl
