Kindess

Location

Cold stares, crying children

Dirty looks and those of pity

Sadness, fear, and depression

They all tie together in this city

But everything could change

Starting with just a smile

Imagine all we could rearrange

If we were'nt so hostile

Time to stop the mugging

Time to stop being so confined

Let us start with hugging

And let us start to be kind

Frowns into smiles

Hate into love

It'd be all worth the while

When it's kindness we've been deprived of

Kindness goes a very long way

In the morning and through the night

It can be so easy to make someone's day

If only we tried to make things right

Today I challenge me

Today I challenge you

To spread a little happy

And to remove a little blue

Let us watch the hate stray

Because kindness starts today
