Kindness

He chose kindness

Of all the words in scripture the Lord chose kindness

For He says it is the kindness of God that leads people to repentance

So why, tell me why, are Christians so relentless

Tell me, did you read the book? Did you see the key?

I tell you it is the kindness of God that sets us free

So show me your kindness and stretch out your arms

Will you do as Christ says and die to yourself? Wear those scars?

He could have said anything

Power,

Righteousness,

Majesty.

But He didn't. He said kindness

And that kindness should come from me

So, whoever you are, whatever your sin

Be it lies be it lust be it gay be it gin

I love you, know that. Not for what you do

Not for your choices or any substance you blew

I do not support your sin, but I love your heart

Don't you see?

It is kindness

I mean, have you ever had someone that loved you without cause?

Who's love was so deep it defied natural laws

I want that for you, so please know you are loved

This love cannot be explained for it comes from above

I love your heart, go on, make your mistakes

For kindness is what leads someone to look at their ways

I will not tell you to change

I will not tell you to move

But I love you

I love you

Let me change how you see

Let's change the world

Good grief! Walk with me

For God chose kindness to love

And by your kindness they will believe
