Kindred Emotions

Some people tend to think that you feel too much

Whereas I understand it more than you might know

You have such a spirit inside you, and it shakes when provoked

There is something so kindred to me about you

Those unconventional emotions might be it

If people saw my reactions when I am completely alone, they might think us sisters

I get what it is- that something can be so powerful to you, though simple it may be, that it makes you feel full-heartedly

That is why I have this poetry, why I use it, to keep me sane and safe while exposing the things that affect me all too much

Amanda says “I get torn to pieces for the stupidest reasons"

I’m sure that’s what others think

Emotional volaitility is seen as a bad thing in this world, that’s just how it is

But believe me, it may be what one needs, especially as an artist

Passion is vital, even to drastic points

Many fine people are like us

They devote themselves to things that seem so small but mean the world to them

I could cry forever over things that move me

Some say “She may succeed, but I doubt she’ll be happy"

But they do not know what it means to feel this deeply

You are so magnificent, and this emotion is so admirable

Things may be scary or sad or the best case bliss

But as odd as it seems I hope you know that I’m in the same boat hence I am here for you
