King and beggar

Ecclesiastes 7:11

11 Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing;
it benefits those who see the light of day.

All is now so peaceful ... sleep captured all

Still worn out from yesterday ... none prepared for now

Does it make a difference to be active or rest?

Is this not the way life moves in reason anyhow?

Last week still a deadbeat ... next week an illusion

Soda pop and cereal the diet of the day

Fast food for the body ... pollution and intrusion

In a life of habits ... temporal so to play

Learn a little, escape a lot ... here and there we sing

Happiness and loneliness found in deep embrace

No one knows for sure what today will bring

Who will understand the path in a loosing race?

There is protection all around ... mostly unseen

Guided and directed in a vague destiny

Election and predestination here go hand in hand

Answering the hunger of the heart wherever it seems to plea

There is no separation here and position is nullified

King and beggar fully exposed in time so designated

Here and there a smile but mostly I see tears

With the excuse: “I did not know”, with egos now deflated
