Kings

The truth is something we are forced to face It never hides nor never lies We can never know it until we get a taste For we all know the truth never dies We live day by day tying through each lace We fail to see our true self with so many tries We think we’re something we’re not We fight our battles we can’t win We view ourselves as warriors who have fought Our way through death, lies and sin When in reality all we have been taught We are to live for the teacher, we are his kin All we want to be is free We are scouts wishing to be kings We’ve drifted off to a far off place unable to see We are landed spreading our flightless wings I can hear the call for us to be who we’re made to be Its bringing the truth of our lives into reality
