A KIng's Deathbed

A life of importance, gone in a dash

Yet the legacy of nations remain

Memories of importance come to clash

Imprisoned thoughts finally freed from chains

The light of a shooting star: just a flash

Yet in the heart of someone it will last

Fleeting are the vibrations of a note

Yet they echo through the waves of times past

A kind word, just a moment of conscience

Yet it's the thing that keeps a life afloat

These things have a nature of transcience

And to the earth, are gone in a second

They add to the mind's heavy encumbrance

Yet to the weighted heart do they beckon
