The King's Shadow.

As I lie, there's not a sign of him

When night falls, he's nowhere to be seen

Nobody ever pays attention to him during the day

But I know he's there.

He watches me and matches my movements

His mind is a mystery that I wish to solve

Are his intentions as bland as his appearance

Or are they far more sinister?

For now I have control of his every move

But what are his thoughts?

I guess I'm to never know

And I hope I don't find out.
