Kinky hair narration

Kinky hair narration

The sun loves me so,
Informin me, glowin me
Strengthen me, speakin frequency
To me, for I’m a crown...

*****

Perm?
What’s that?
Why?
What about the sun?
Why I gotta be straight?
Why I gotta be “white”?

****

Why I gotta make friends
With the weave?
Why I gotta become sisters
With wig?
Don’t wanna be an European hair...
It’s like fur...

****

They make laws
For not havin me around...
They signed petitions
And now

It feels like I’ve become a
Low self esteem...

****

Though there were promotion
About nature hair...everywhere
Which is good..
But don’t forget about me
Your crown you’re born with...

I’m way superior
Than a perm
A Weave
A wig....
And I’m tryin to catch

The sunbeam

But you’re too busy listenin to
That shittin beauty standard to tell
You how you look..

I’m the good hair
The kinky hair
The one you cornrow
The one you twist,
The one you lock
Thick soft and I shine like
That beautiful sun...

So girl, young woman
Don’t be ashamed of yourself
Of your own curly puffs...
You’re gorgeous...
Don’t let anybody especially the pop
Culture tell you any different...

Besides I’m too healthy for you...
So take care of me.....
