Kinship

Stripped of a title.

How could she choose to leave

Even given the odds of understanding?

Leaving the one thing that binds us together.
Eventually you return but

Automatic rejoice never comes from me.

Remembering all the times you vanished,

Never might honestly forgive you.

Eagerly waiting to be let down again, your

Decisions mean more than your words.

Throughout the years you

Habitually gave up when challenged.

Every time, I wanted you to stay.

Maybe I am to blame.

Even when you set the pattern,

All I hoped for was for you to break it.

Night after night,

Ignorance plagued me given that hope.

Never will you fully regain my trust after you widened the

Gap between us.

On the hunt for a sincere definition, the

Falconry ended with an absent meaning of ‘mother’.
